We don't collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Privacy is a core feature, not an afterthought.
Overview
"Did I Lock It?" is a 100% offline-first app built for overthinkers and anxious minds. No servers, no user accounts, no data pipelines.
What We Do NOT Collect
We collect nothing. Zero.
No accounts
No email
No analytics
No crash reports
No ad networks
No cloud sync
No tracking SDKs
No third-party sharing
Where Your Data Lives
All data is stored locally on your device only and never moves anywhere.
- Action logs — local SQLite database on your device
- Photos — app's private storage sandbox
- Location pins — GPS coordinates stored locally in the database
- Reminders — scheduled via your device's local notification system
- Settings — local SharedPreferences on device
Uninstall the app and all data is permanently deleted.
App Permissions
All permissions are optional — the app works without any of them.
- Camera — to take a proof photo
- Photo Library — to pick an existing photo as proof
- Location — to pin your location on the map (only when you tap "My Location")
- Notifications — to deliver reminders (processed 100% locally)
Map & Network
Fully offline except when viewing the location map — map tile images are loaded from Carto's CDN via OpenStreetMap.
Only map coordinates are sent to display the correct tiles. No personal data, no user identifiers, no action logs are ever transmitted. This is the only network request the app makes.
Children's Privacy
This app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page with a new date. Given our commitment to zero data collection, changes are unlikely.
